Karen Bekaryan

Born on March 2, 1970 in Yerevan.

1988 - 1989 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1993 - Graduated from the faculty of Applied Mathematics of Yerevan State University. Mathematician. Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

1993 - 1999 - Inspector at the Passport and Visa Office in the Department of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, then chief inspector.

1999 - 2010 - Expert of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly.

2001 - 2002 Member of Experts of the State Committee for Migration and Refugee Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

2003 - 2008 - Lecturer at the Russian - Armenian (Slavonic) University, French University of Armenia and Yerevan State University of Armenia.

2003 - 2010 - Author and leader of the “Globe” and “European Diary” international analytical (“Yerkimedia” TV), “Hayatsk Ashkharhin” international analytical (“Yerevan” TV) and “Realpolitik” (“The real politics”) analytical (“Public” TV) television programs.

2006 - 2010 - Director of the “Armedia” information analysis agency.

2010 - 2011 - Deputy Director of informational, political and analytical programs of the Public Radio of the Republic of Armenia.

2011 - 2015 - Adviser to the Director of the “Public Relations and Information Centre” of the Staff of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

2002 - 2018 - Chairman of the NGO "European Integration."

2009 - 2015 - Member of the Public Council of the Republic of Armenia.

September 11, 2015 - Elected Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system RPA). Member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly.

Member of the “Republican” (RPA) faction. Non-partisan.

He is the author of numerous of research articles.

Married, with two children.
