At March 22 sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal and Protection of Human Rights debated and endorsed in the first reading a number of draft laws. The revised versions of the legislative initiatives will be proposed to the parliament for debating them in the second reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan presented for debate legislative package on Making Addendum to the RA laws on Referendum and on State Duty.

The member of the RA NA Tsarukyan Faction Gevorg Petrosyan has informed that they will vote against the package.

The RA Deputy Head of Police Vardan Yeghiazaryan presented the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Foreigners.

According to Artur Hovhannisyan, the draft law on Amending the RA Law on the RA State Awards and Titles has not been undergone changes during the period from the first to the second reading.

The RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan presented for debate the draft law on Civil Service with the enclosed package.

The RA Minister of Justice Davit Harutyunyan proposed for debate the draft law on the Structure and Activity of the Government with the enclosed package.

At the extraordinary sitting moderated by Khosrov Harutyunyan the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs considered the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the law on the Protection of Economic Competition and the package of enclosed bills.

The key speaker, the Chairman of the RA State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competitiveness Artak Shaboyan noted that while elaborating the legislative package the demands and principles of the protection of the economic competition of the European Union and the EEU.

The legislative initiative of the government was endorsed to be included in the draft law of the agenda of the extraordinary sitting to be convened.
