Ara Babloyan Meets with Prime Minister of Czech Republic

On August 24, the delegation led by the RA NA President Ara Babloyan being in the Czech Republic on an official visit met with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš.

The Head of the Armenian Parliament congratulated the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic on the occasion of the establishment of the government led by him.

During the meeting the President of the National Assembly highlighted the expansion of the multi-sphere relations with the Czech Republic, reaffirming the interest of Armenia in providing continuity of the political dialogue, the expansion of the trade-economic cooperation and activation of human contacts.

The RA NA President has noted that Armenia-EU cooperation also occupy an important place on the agenda of the Armenian-Czech cooperation. According to Ara Babloyan, the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union opened a new page in the relations between Armenia and the European Union.

Ara Babloyan expressed satisfaction on the occasion of including Armenia in some programmes directed to the development and change and expressed hope that in the context of the enforcement of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement the Czech Republic would include Armenia in the series of the target countries.

Talking about the Armenian-Czech economic ties, Ara Babloyan has expressed satisfaction on the occasion of strengthening those relations during recent years, at the same time noting that the potential is not exhausted. The Head of the parliament has underlined that Armenia expects direct investments by the Czech businessmen in the economy of Armenia.

The Head of the RA National Assembly has informed that after the change of the RA Government the Co-Chair from the Armenian side of the bilateral Inter-Governmental Committee on Economic Affairs and the preparatory works of the fourth sitting of the Committee are underway.

Welcoming the Armenian delegation, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic touched upon the importance of the Armenian-Czech relations. Andrej Babiš presented the inner-political situation, has documented with satisfaction that stable economic growth is recorded in the country.

The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic has informed that dynamic changes take place in the European Union, a number of problems, which demand solutions, as example the refugees' problems.
