On September 12, the RA NA Chief of Staff-Secretary General Ara Saghatelyan met with the CSTO PA Responsible Secretary Pyotr Ryabukhin.

During the meeting items regarding the holding of the CSTO PA Council and the CSTO PA plenary sessions in Yerevan on October 29-30 were discussed.

Welcoming the guest in the RA National Assembly, Ara Saghatelyan has noted that the CSTO PA Plenary Session will be held in Yerevan for the first time, and our country is seriously getting ready for such important event, making all possible efforts for providing effective working atmosphere. The RA NA Chief of Staff-Secretary General expressed conviction that the sessions would be held at high level, and the discussions would be effective.

The sides touched upon the parliamentary cooperation within the framework of the CSTO. According to Ara Saghatelyan, the Assembly contributes to the legislative provision of the regional security. In this context the Chief of the Staff of the parliament has underlined that the Armenian delegation actively and consistently works in the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, permanently does serious expertise work and presents assessments on all documents submitted by the Assembly.

Pyotr Ryabukhin in his return expressed conviction that the sessions would be held in Yerevan at high level and all organizational peculiarities would be taken into consideration.
