Ararat Mirzoyan and Ambassador of Germany to Armenia Discuss Agenda of Bilateral Cooperation

On February 15, the President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia Bernhard Matthias Kiesler.

Welcoming the Ambassador, Ararat Mirzoyan has documented that the relations between the two countries dynamically and substantially develop. The Head of the legislative body has noted that Armenia highlights the deepening of cooperation with Germany in different directions.

The Head of the parliament thanked the Government of Germany for supporting the National Assembly of Armenia through several years and implementing numerous effective programmes in our country.

Congratulating Ararat Mirzoyan on being elected in the post of the RA National Assembly President Bernhard Matthias Kiesler conveyed the invitation o f the President of the German Bundestag to visit Germany, which the Head of the legislative body gladly accepted. He has highlighted the cooperation with the National Assembly of Armenia, which has passed to the parliamentary government system, particularly has underlined the joint work of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)/German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ) with the Staff of the National Assembly and the Budget Office, adding that it has a goal of expanding it.

Both sides emphasized the further activation of the inter-parliamentary relations, the mutual visits of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups and the exchange of experience. The interlocutors expressed readiness to undertake additional steps in implementing joint programmes, and cooperating in new multi-lateral, as well as bilateral formats.
