On March 4, at the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial and Eurasian Integration moderated by Mikayel Melkumyan the RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan presented the current situation of the Eurasian economic integration and the main directions of the efficiency rise. The speaker touched upon the directions concerning the authority of the Ministry, answered the MPs’ questions, which related to the tariff change of the transport means import to Armenia from the third countries and the steps to be taken for protection of the entities’ interests.

As a Committee Chair of the parliament of the country with parliamentary government Mikayel Melkumyan has highlighted the frequent holding of similar debates, which provides the accountability of the executive body to the National Assembly.

On the same day the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport moderated by Mikayel Hayrapetyan was held. The draft law on Amending the RA Law on Education was debated.

The key speaker, the RA NA deputy Tigran Urikhanyan referred to the tuition fees.

In his speech the deputy Hovhannes Hovhannisyan underlined the necessity of the adoption of the amendment on the draft law.

At the deputies’ request the RA Deputy Minister of Education and Science Arevik Anapiosyan related to the problems directed to the necessity of the systemized amendments in the sphere of education, the subsidy programme of the students’ loan by the state.

The debated draft law with the endorsement of the Committee was proposed to include in the draft agenda of the upcoming regular sittings of the RA National Assembly.
