RA NA Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan Conducts the 90th Open Class

On the initiative of the Armenian State Philharmonic Hall from February 21 open classes on the Armenian Genocide have been organized in the schools of the republic. Teachers, scientists, and representatives of political and non-governmental organizations conducted the classes. In this way, the management of the Armenian State Philharmonic Hall tries to present to the schoolchildren the consequences of impunity of the crime in the beginning of the 20th century and the necessity of recognizing internationally the Genocide fact. 300 thousand schoolchildren participated in the open classes from all the regions of Armenia.

On April 21, in “Karen Demirchian” sport-cultural complex, the 90th open class on the Armenian Genocide was organized. RA NA Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan conducted the class. “If the civilized society condemned on time the Armenian Genocide of 1915, after some years Adolph Hitler wouldn’t have said: “Who does remember Armenians today?” mentioned the Parliament Speaker. NA Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan said that the number of the countries, which recognize and condemn the 1915 Armenian Genocide, is increasing and it should be in the list of primary issues of progressive humanity and civilized society. According to NA Speaker, after 90 years we have to prove again that our country is firm, organized and competitive in the region.

The open class was followed by a concert. 10.000 schoolchildren, who were present in the sport-concert complex, visited the monument in Tsitsernakaberd and each of them put a flower to the memorial perpetuating the memory of the victims.
