On March 18, on the initiative of the deputy of the Bright Armenia Faction of the RA National Assembly, the Member of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Anna Kostanyan meeting-discussion with the representatives of the cinema sphere was organized in the RA National Assembly.

Anna Kostanyan has underlined that the goal of the meeting is to discuss the opportunities of the problems existing in the system and their solution.

The attendees exchanged thoughts on the issues of the preservation, development and spreading of the cinema art traditions, the creation of ideological-artistic high value feature, animation films of local production in accordance with international standards, the provision of equal conditions for choosing the film projects on competition bases and the implementation of the joint cinema projects with the international organizations.

Touching upon the cultural policy being pursued in the cinema art sphere, the filmmaker Hovhannes Galstyan distinguished the problems of the efficiency rise of the state government model of the cinema and the field with the relevant legislative initiatives. The film experts and filmmakers also raised the issue of the preservation of the huge heritage of the Armenian cinema and training of the qualified specialists with corresponding programmes in the educational system.
