On Marcvh 19, at the sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Vladimir Vardanyan debated the part concerning the sphere of justice in the report on the procedure of the RA Government Programme implementation and its results that was appreciated by the executive body.

As the RA Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan has informed, during the period from 1 June – 31 December 2018 an unprecedented pardon was initiated with humanitarian considerations and its inclusion.

The MPs’ questions related to the Institute of Reconciliation, its influence on the unloading of the courts and the transitional justice.

According to the Minister, the goal of the justice will be the reconciliation of the society and the restoration of the rights. Touching upon the expecting and the received results from the Institute of Reconciliation, Artak Zeynalyan has noted that they don’t satisfy them.

The Committee accepted the report as information.

The debate of the draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Constitutional Law the NA Rules of Procedure was postponed up to two-month term because of the key speaker’s absence.
