On April 26, the sitting the NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration moderated by Mikayel Melkumyan was held.

The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Goods Brand presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Avag Nersesyan was debated in the first reading.

Mikayel Melkumyan proposed the government to rectify the disputable problems from the first to the second reading.

The Committee gave an endorsement to the issue.

Afterwards a Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between the NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration and the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia. The Union Chairman Gagik Makaryan and the Committee Chair Mikayel Melkumyan signed the document. The sides expressed readiness for the effective cooperation in the near future.

The Committee Chair has noted that in the mid-May hearings are designed to be organized on the theme related to Armenia’s Chairmanship to the EEU.

The Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission Garegin Baghramyan in his report touched upon the problems of the formation of the EEU united energy market.

In their questions and speeches the deputies reflected upon the process of strengthening of the high voltage electric communication lines, the problems in the sphere of energy and gas use and service and a number of other problems on which Garegin Baghramyan presented clarifications.
