On June 11, the RA NA Vice President Vahe Enfiajyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Armenia Imomuddin Sattorov.

During the meeting the sides have documented that the Armenian-Tajik relations effectively develop, but we should make efforts for the complete realization of the unused potential. They touched upon the cooperation of the legislative bodies and the deepening of the inter-parliamentary dialogue: in this context great importance was attached to the activities of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups and the activation of the mutual visits.

Issues on the cooperation in the inter-parliamentary structures were discussed. the effective cooperation of the delegations of Armenia and Tajikistan, particularly in the IPA CIS and the CSTO PA, the joint efforts and mutual support in the fight against international terrorism and extremism was highlighted.

The guest was interested in the vision of Armenia’s membership to the EEU and the achievements, in relation to which the NA Vice President Vahe Enfiajyan presented details.

The sides also reflected upon the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. The interlocutors documented that the problem should be solved exclusively through peaceful negotiations.

Both sides referred to the perspectives of cooperation in the spheres of education, science, culture, newest technologies, security and a number of other spheres. In the development of the trade-economic relations the importance of the Inter-Governmental Committee on the Armenian-Tajik Economic Cooperation was underlined.
