On June 12, the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and Mane Tandilyan was held. At the sitting the executive paper of the expenditures allocated to the spheres of science, education, culture, sport, Diaspora, youth and information from the RA state budget in 2018 was debated.

The RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan presented the main financial indices.

The heads of the spheres touched upon the implemented programmes and the recorded results.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the law on Higher Education and Information was worked out during the financial period, and it would be presented to the parliament.

The Chairman of the RA National Commission on Television and Radio Tigran Hakobyan talked about the steps taken for the rise of efficiency of the Commission’s works.

The Chairman of the RA Public Television TV and Radio Company Ara Shirinyan presented the expenditure directions touched upon the savings made from the means designed for the salaries, additional payments and business trips.

The Acting Head of the Department on the U.S Armenian community of the Chief Commissioner Office of the Diaspora in the RA Prime Minister’s Staff Yerem Simonyan presented implemented programmes of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

The key speakers also answered the MPs’ questions concerning their spheres.
