On July 4, the members of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration met with the Head of the Delegation of the European to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski, the Head of the Political, Press and Information Section of the Representation Ekaterina Dorodnova and the Head of Cooperation Section Gonzalo Serrano de la Rosa.

Piotr Świtalski completes his mission in Armenia in August of this year: the Committee members expressed their gratitude to the Ambassador for the work done during the past four years and expressed conviction that he would continue to remain the good friend of Armenia.

The interlocutors discussed a number of issues concerning the procedure and perspectives of cooperation between the EU structures and Armenia’s parliamentarians, the parliamentary involvement of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership and the parliamentary oversight towards its procedure, the dialogue for the visa liberalisation, the reforms being expected in the justice and judicial system, the input of the anti-corruption mechanisms, as well as the long-term strategy of Armenia’s development and the EU engagement in it.
