On December 11, the extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport moderated by Hovhannes Hovhannisyan was held.

According to the RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Lusine Arakelyan, the Committee in the first reading debated the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Law on General Education and the enclosed package of the draft laws.

The RA Deputy Minister presented the package of the draft laws and a recommendation stipulated by law.

The Speaker also answered to the deputies’ voiced numerous questions.

The Deputy Chair of the Committee Hovhannes Hovhannisyan proposed to postpone the debate of the package of the draft laws for studying it more thoroughly.

The recommendation was accepted by the key speaker and the Committee members.

The Deputy Chair of the Committee informed that on December 20, parliamentary hearings are designed to hold in the NA Session Hall on the theme The Reforms of the Education Sphere and the Upcoming Strategic Challenges.

The NA deputy Anna Kostanyan informed that the debates of the draft law on Cinema ended, three versions of the bill were presented, a working group was formed for studying in detail the draft laws.

Afterwards the MPs Lilit Stepanyan and Anna Kostanyan presented information about the seminars they had taken part.
