At February 26 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Babken Tunyan the amendments and addenda, which the Government proposed to make in the RA Law on Foundations were debated. The Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Edvard Hovhannisyan has noted that the goal is to give an opportunity to the foundations to issue for free the reports in the system designed for them. The Committee endorsed the draft law.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan presented the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Excluding Double Taxation Revenue and Preventing Tax Evasion between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.

The Agreement was signed by the Governments of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan in 2019. The Committee members voted for the draft law.

The RA NA deputies Artak Manukyan, Babken Tunyan and Varazdat Karapetyan proposed to make addendum to the RA Law on Energy.

The RA Deputy Minister Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Hakob Vardanyan has informed that the Government has no official Position of the draft law.

The draft law envisaging addendum to the law on Urban Development authored by the Government was debated and endorsed. The ACting Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Armen Ghulyan presented the draft law.

The Deputy Chair of the RA State Revenue Committee Shushanik Nersisyan has noted that the draft law was sent to the government several times to get a conclusion and at the moment there is an oral conclusion by all concerned departments. The draft law was endorsed.

The Committee debated and passed in the second reading the draft law on Cosmic Activity and the package of draft laws envisaging amendments and addenda to the enclosed laws. The RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan has noted that the presented recommendations were of technical character.

The Committee also debated in the second reading the draft law on Making Addenda to the RA Tax Code authored by the deputies of the RA NA My Step Faction Sisak Gabrielyan and Lilit Makunts touched upon the presented recommendations and gave clarifications.

The MPs voted for the revised version of the law. The draft law was endorsed.

The draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Secure Use of Nuclear Energy for Peaceful Purposes, on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law, as well as on Amending the Law on Land Tax also were debated in the second reading and endorsed.

The deputy of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Mikayel Melkumyan proposed to amend the RA Tax Code. The debate of the draft law was postponed by the author’s proposal up to two months.

By the decision of the Committee a Working Group on Boosting Investments of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs was formed.
