On April 27, on the initiative of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations with the support of the International Republican Institute (IRI) remote discussion on the theme COVID 19: Regional Situation: Confrontation and Possible Developments was held.
The RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Islamic Republic of Iran Artashes Tumanyan, the RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Ruben Sadoyan, the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Tatevik Hayrapetyan, the Experts of Iranian Studies (Iranianologist) Gohar Iskandaryan and Vardan Voskanyan, the Experts of Georgian Studies, Johnny Melikian and Erik Davtyan, the Expert of Azerbaijani Studies Taron Hovhannisyan and the Expert of Turkish Studies (Turkologist) Varuzhan Geghamyan gave speeches at the discussion moderated by the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sos Avetisyan.
In their speeches every speaker comprehensively presented the situation in the conditions of the state of emergency caused by COVID 19, everybody’s main strategy in fight against pandemic and the counteraction prior and effective toolsets
Touching upon the created situation, the speakers also highlighted the balanced responses and actions of the state bodies of the Republic of Armenia, especially the Government in the conditions of the created situation.
