At April 28 extraordinary sitting moderated by Mane Tandilyan, the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs debated the draft law on Making Amendment and Addenda to the Law on the RA State Budget included in the agenda of the RA NA April 28 extraordinary sitting.
According to the Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan, the outbreak of the coronavirus was identified in China in December 2019, was spread in different countries during the short period, and it was recognized as pandemic by the World Health Organization on 11 March 2020, as the great majority of the countries of the world include the geographical borders of the virus. According to it, the intensive spread of the virus is fraught also with serious economic consequences on the international and local scales. By the assessments of all international authoritative organizations, the economic developments of the world and certain countries will go on with comparatively more pessimistic scenarios of the starting point.
All the envisaged social programmes will be implemented. The expenditure budget is not designed to be reduced, and according to the speaker, will mitigate the losses to be expected.

In his speech the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee Artak Manukyan emphasized the importance of the government for amending the state budget and called on his colleagues to vote for it. After the debate the Committee members endorsed the draft law.
