On April 30, the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment convened the regular sitting.

Three legislative initiatives, which were endorsed by the Committee, were included in the agenda.

The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Lilia Shushanyan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addendum to the RA Law on Purposeful Use of Environmental Tax Being Paid by the Companies.

The RA Deputy Minister of Economy Tigran Galstyan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Fodder.

The abovementioned draft laws will be included in the draft law of the agenda of the NA current session.

The debated third item was the draft law on Making Addendum to the Law on Local Self-Government authored by the RA NA deputies Sergey Bagratyan, Vardan Vardanyan, Tigran Stepanyan, Hrant Madatyan, Davit Manukyan, Janibek Hayrapetyan and Sona Ghazaryan, which was debated in the second reading procedure.

The viewpoint of the Government was positive on the draft law. It will be included in the draft law of the agenda of the NA upcoming regular sittings.

Afterwards the Committee debated the report on the Procedure of the RA Government Programme for 2019 approved by 8 February 2019 N 65-A Decision of the Government and Its Results relating to the activity.

The RA Minister of Environment Erik Grigoryan and the RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan touched upon the policy of the environment management, the works, programmes done in the sphere of the water economy, the designed reforms.

The RA Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan referred to the works done in the sphere of agriculture and the upcoming activities. During the year 2019, a number of state support programmes of the sphere had been undergone necessary changes.
