On June 22, an extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Vladimir Vardanyan was held.

The Committee in the second reading debated and endorsed the package of the draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Constitutional Laww the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, on Making Amendment and Addenda to the Constitutional Law the RA Judicial Code and on Making Addenda and Amendment to the RA Constitutional Law on Constitutional Court. As a result of amendment, the posts being elected or appointed by the National Assembly will also be added at the NA extraordinary sitting or session. The key speaker the RA NA deputy Vahagn Hovakimyan has noted that the revised version of the legislative package is presented in the second reading.

The co-speaker the RA NA deputy Anna Karapetyan informed that during the period from the first to the second reading recommendations in written form were not submitted by the deputies.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Vahe Danielyan presented the endorsement of the Government.

The Committee debated in the second reading the draft law on Amending the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia authored by the deputies of the RA NA My Step Faction.

The key speaker the RA NA deputy Vahagn Hovakimyan informed that the draft law has not been amended and is presented in the first reading passed version.

The co-speaker the RA NA deputy Nazeli Baghdasaryan emphasized the adoption of the bill and urged her colleagues to vote for it.

The RA Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan presented the positive opinion of the RA Government on the bill.

The Committee endorsed the draft law.
