On September 24, at the initiative of the Budget Office of the RA National Assembly a seminar to develop the professional capabilities of the National Assembly in the sphere of the public finances was held in the parliament, where deputies, deputies’ assistants, experts of the Standing Committees and employees from the NA Staff took part.
In his report on the theme Gender (gender sensitive) Budgeting the Coordinator-Expert of the RA NA Budget Office Gagik Barseghyan touched upon the notion “gender,” the gender gaps and the steps taken for overcoming them, the gender equity, the gender (gender sensitive) budgeting, the international experience of their use and the preconditions and opportunities of the gender (gender sensitive) budgeting use in the RA budgeting process.
The questions addressed to the rapporteur related to the gender equity, the gender gaps, the gender justice, the existing problems conditioned by the recorded indices, the goals of gender equity, the gender budgeting and the parliamentary toolsets of the gender budgeting use.
In his speech on the theme The Macroeconomic Management in Resource-Rich Countries (MRC)
the Expert of the Budget Office Ashot Yeghiazaryan presented the indices of the economic growth in resource-rich countries, touched upon the peculiarities of the fiscal policy, the state investments, the activities of the independent budgetary organisations, including the parliamentary budgetary offices. During the seminar discussions were held on building diversified economy, providing subsidies in resource-rich countries, the fair delivery of the resources and the efficiency of the state investments in the world practice.
