Arkady Khachatryan Meets with Ambassador of Brazil to Armenia
1 / 3

On October 8, the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Brazil Friendship Group Arkady Khachatryan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the RA Agemar de Mendonça Sanctos.

During the meeting Arkady Khachatryan presented to the Ambassador the situation created because of military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the Artsakh Republic.

The Head of the RA NA Armenia-Brazil Friendship Group condemned the regular attempt of the solution of the Artsakh issue through force by Azerbaijan. Arkady Khachatryan has considered inadmissible the destabilizing role of Turkey, the direct involvement and especially the use of the mercenaries in the military actions unleashed against Artsakh, as well as the targeting of the civilian population, settlements, infrastructures and schools and the use of the banned weapons, which is a violation of the international humanitarian right.

The interlocutors have reaffirmed that the problem has no military resolution and the peaceful negotiations are deemed to be the only way of settlement.

Arkady Khachatryan expressed hope that the Government of Brazil would make targeted statements on the abovementioned phenomena and facts.
