On December 23, at the extraordinary sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs in the first reading debated the draft law on Amending the RA Tax Code authored by the NA deputy Babken Tunyan. As the key rapporteur assured, necessity had been emerged to give an opportunity to all entities for the investments being made – to extend for one year the term until 31 December 2021.
The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan proposed the MPs to touch upon the draft law after April of the coming year for assessing the impact of the law in force on the sphere.
The MPs mainly expressed their opinion in favour of the bill. As a result of voting, the draft law was endorsed.
The Committee members in the first reading debated the legislative package on Amending the Law on Reduction and Prevention of the Damage Being Caused to the Health as a Consequence of the Use of Tobacco Products and Their Substitutes and on Amending the Law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Administrative Offences authored by the deputies of the NA My Step Faction Babken Tunyan, Vladimir Vardanyan, Hovik Aghazaryan and Narek Zeynalyan.
The government did not endorse the legislative package. The RA Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan proposed to remove it from the circulation.
Babken Tunyan once again stressed the importance of supporting the investments in the economy in the created situation and the entities.
The legislative package was endorsed. The two items of the agenda would be debated within 24 hours by the decision of the Standing Committee.
