On December 29, an extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Vladimir Vardanyan was held.

The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Constitutional Law on Parties with the enclosed legislative package authored by the RA NA My Step Faction was debated in the second reading.

As the key rapporteur the RA NA deputy Hamazasp Danielyan informed, after being passed in the first reading numerous recommendations had been made, which were debated with parliamentary different factions, as well as with extra-parliamentary forces, the Ministry of Justice, the Corruption Prevention Commission and other concerned structures.

Hamazasp Danielyan noted that as a result of debates, the legislative package was revised. The main goal of the package is to have better political field and party system.

The co-rapporteur the RA NA deputy Nazeli Baghdasaryan urged her colleagues to endorse the legislative package, informing them that all indicated problems had been solved.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Kristinne Grigoryan presented the positive opinion of the Government, underlining that all the presented recommendations were passed and, as a result of joint work, the package was revised.

The Committee endorsed the package of the debated draft laws.
