On February 9, the parliament debated in the first reading the item of the adoption of the RA Criminal Procedure Code.

The goal is to make the reservation of the procedure in electronic way. For the first time the ban of the law speculation is reserved as a principle of criminal procedure, an opportunity is given to invest the idea of the substitute judge. According to the Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan, it will give an opportunity not to begin the case again in the event of the change of the very judge.

In the phase of pre-examination it is proposed to increase the role of the advocate, and from now on the information presented by the latter will have a status of evidence. The Institute of legal presumption of the facts will be established, and the formal phase of the criminal case inquiry will also be removed.

At the last sitting of the day, in accordance with the RA Constitutional Law the NA Rules of Procedure, the RA NA deputies made announcements.
