At March 18 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment, the Deputy Minister of Economy Tigran Gabrielyan presented the results, implemented during the Government Programme in 2020.
“In 2020, on the background of the pandemic spreading the sphere of agriculture, nevertheless, refrained from the strict restrictions. Even in the sphere progress was registered to some extent for about 1,4%,” Tigran Gabrielyan said.
A number of legal acts and draft laws were developed. The rapporteur distinguished, particularly, the concept and the event programme on the efficiency rise of the land use of agricultural importance, the joint work of the Ministry and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, Land Management, Boost, Support project funded by the Land Global Partnership.” In the framework of the latter the existing soil science maps were digitalized and the comprehensive information on the qualitative features of the soil resources of the republic was presented on the online platform.
According to Tigran Gabrielyan, as a result of implemented events in 2020, an opportunity was given to the entities to make use of some privileges, preserving the normal process of the activity.
The rapporteur distinguished the investment process of modern irrigation systems on the establishment of intensive orchards and cultivated berries with modern technologies of grapes, financial leasing of agricultural technologies, boosting of the autumn wheat production, state support programmes, presenting in detail the sequences of steps of its implementation and already registered results.
