1 / 6

On April 13, during the convened NA regular sitting the member of the Prosperous Armenia Faction Naira Zohrabyan delivered a speech.

The MP touched upon the possible pardon on the persons who evaded the military service and who are 27 years old approved by the executive body.

“I think that it is a right decision but there is a problem that I would like to voice. I understand the moral sign mark why the pardon term is September 26 including, i.e. the start of the war. However, I receive hundreds of letters from our compatriots living in Diaspora who say that they wanted to return and go to Artsakh, but conditioned by coronavirus, the countries did not let to enter Armenia.”

Naira Zohrabyan proposed the to discuss the item and to define as a deadline term 31 December 2020.

Let us note that the pardon will be spread until the beginning of 44-day war – 26 September 2020 on the persons of 27 years old private and 35 years old reserve officers, who evaded from compulsory military service, as well as from the exercise gatherings and the ones being suspected, charged or sentenced in the crime stipulated only by Article 327.1 of the Criminal Code.
