On April 14, Babken Tunyan gave a speech on behalf of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs during the debate of the report on the Implementation of the Procedure and the Results of the RA Government Programme for 2020 .

The deputy noted that the spheres related to the economy of the report of the previous year were debated in the committee chaired by him.

According to him, the last year was unprecedented and those indicators and targets which were for 2020 from the beginning did not become a reality. This situation was typical to all countries of the world: “In our case, the war was added to the pandemic with its economic and social consequences. In fact, we had crisis management which was implemented by the close cooperation of the Government and the National Assembly”.

The Committee Chair underlined that more than two dozen anti-crisis measures were developed and implemented: “At that time the main question was if those measures were enough and they served their purpose.” He stressed that they did their best. And time will show how effective they were. “We tried not to stop during this time,” Babken Tunyan concluded.
