Corruption Risks to be Decreased in Land Auctions: Draft Law Debated in Second Reading

At April 16 NA regular sitting, the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Land Code authored by Artak Manukyan was debated in the second reading for complete adoption.

According to the bill, the organizer is obliged to publish the information on www.azdarar.am website on conducting the bargaining one month before the auction.

The key rapporteur Artak Manukyan noted that the provision on public bargaining was clarified after the first reading.

He has underlined that the draft law is aimed at decreasing the corruption risks in the land auctions.

Tatevik Gasparyan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee.

The Deputy Minister of the RA Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan presenting the endorsement of the Government, stated that the joint work was implemented: “We hope that if it will be not excluded by the draft law then one defective phenomenon will be restricted”.

The Deputy Minister has underscored that they hope to reach to the electoral system of conducting auctions in future.
