On April 16, the Parliament introduced by the Deputy Minister of the RA Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan debated the draft law on Ratifying the Protocol and on Amending the Article 56 of the Convention on the International Civil Aviation.
As a result of ratifying the Protocol signed on 6 October 2016, according to the rapporteur, more member states will have an opportunity to be included in the Committee Members of the Air Navigation Commission. The Protocol was ratified by 45 states.
The Parliament debated the draft law on Ratifying the Protocol and on Amending the Article 50.a. of the Convention on the International Civil Aviation, too. The Protocol was signed on 6 October 2016. According to the protocol, the states wished to increase the number of the Council Members - from 36 to 40; aimed at ensuring the best symmetry at the expense of a wider representation.
According to the co-rapporteur Hripsime Grigoryan, the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs endorsed the draft laws.
