The NA deputies Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Vahagn Tevosyan and Anush Begloian made legislative initiatives and proposed to make addendum and amendment to the law on State Duty.

At April 16 NA sitting the NA deputy Anush Begloian introduced the proposing regulations.

It was noted that on the previous year the law on Video Audio Media was passed, by which, among other regulations the licensing order of the TV companies is also regulated, and according to the RA law on State Duty, state duty is levied for giving licenses to implement activities subject to licensing.

Therefore, the addendum and the amendment aim at providing the continuity of media sphere legal field regulation and a number of principle-starting points stipulated in the law on Video Audio Media. They are the accessibility of entering into the media field, the provision and assistance of video audio programmes diversity.

Hripsime Grigoryan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee. The MP has noted that the regulation. The MP has stated that the regulation makes easier the accessibility for entering into media field of the TV companies, establishing lower rates for the state duty.

The Deputy Minister of Hi-Tech Technology Ministry Gor Melikyan presented the position of the Government. According to him, the proposing amendments will boost the establishment of the private multiplexes in the RA marzes, creating favourable conditions for the expansion of the regional television broadcast network.
