Issue of Pshatavan Kindergarten at the Center of MP’s Attention
1 / 30

On April 19, the representative of the Yazidi community in Armenia Rustam Bakoyan visited Pshatavan community in the Armavir Marz/Province where about 40 Yazidi families live.

Pshatavan is a borderline community, however it makes use of the privileges in small volumes.

Bakoyan was interested in the residents’ problems. According to the Head of the community Azat Kyaramyan, there are a lot of problems in the village, however the issue of repairing 3km of Pshatavan-Argavand inter-community road is a priority.

“The villagers are mainly engaged in viticulture and due to the lack of asphalt road, it is difficult to bring the harvest to the local market. On the way, the crop gets spoiled under the sun and the wheels of the wagons break,” Kyaramyan said.

The villagers also complained that the interest rates on loans to plant vineyards were high and the repayment terms were short.

The villagers highlighted the issue on having a kindergarten in the large community. 160 out of 250 children living in the community do not have an opportunity to attend a kindergarten.

At the end of the visit, Rustam Bakoyan promised to raise the issues and find solutions.
