On April 19-20, the Euronest PA Plenary Session was held, in the framework of which reports were presented and resolutions were adopted in the committees.

Touching upon the perspectives of cooperation between the RA and the European Union, particularly, in the framework of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan delivered a speech in the Plenary Session. The NA President also referred to the war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27 of the previous year, as well as grossly violating the provisions of the tripartite statement signed on 9 November 2020 by the latter.

The Head of the Armenian Delegation to Euronest PA Viktor Yengibaryan, the members of the delegation - the Chair of the NA Standing Committee European Integration Arman Yeghoyan, the Deputy Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs Heriknaz Tigranyan, the deputies Mikayel Zolyan, Sargis Khandanyan, Narek Mkrtchyan, Maria Karapetyan and Taron Simonyan took part in the works of the Assembly.

In their speeches the members of the delegation voiced about the urgent return of the detained captives as a consequence of war, as well as the regularly sounding speech of hatred and threats from the Azerbaijani side towards Armenia.

The resolution based on the report by the Committee on Social Affairs, Employment, Education, Culture and Civil Society is about the improvement of the quality of life in the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries, particularly the creation of the effective health and stable pension systems.

The resolution based on the report of the Committee on Political Affairs, Human Rights and Democracy relates to the strengthening of democratic processes in the European Union and Eastern Partnership countries, the role of parties, civil society, the formation of fair electoral environment and free and pluralistic press.

The resolution based on the report of the Committee on Economic Integration, Legal Approximation and Convergence with EU Policies refers to the education and synergy of economy in the European Union and Eastern Partnership countries.

In the Plenary Session the resolution based on the report of the Committee on Energy Security, which relates to the energy efficiency, diversification, independence, the strengthening of energy tactics and the counteraction of the energy security threats in the Eastern Partnership countries was also adopted.
