On April 23, the member of the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction Anna Kostanyan met with the students from a number of universities of Yerevan.

The MP has been concerned about how much the students are interested in the changes taking place in the sphere. According to Anna Kostanyan, the youth should play a crucial role in the issue on decision making of the country. “The youth should be a stimulating force and an initiator, should raise the problems regarding them and propose solutions.”

The students mainly noted that separate discussions were not held in all universities relating to the theme until the adoption of the law on High Education and Science. They were worried about the decrease of the students’ representation in the university management board as a result of the amendments.

During the meeting, they referred to the role of the self-government student unions.

The students have considered it necessary that the defense of theses and diploma works will not be carried out online, and during the pandemic, especially in case of organizing distant learning, the tuition fees will be reduced.

The students also visited the NA Museum, got acquainted with the history of the parliament and the samples donated to the National Assembly at different times.
