At April 28 sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs debated in the first reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addendum to the RA Tax Code authored by the Government.

As the RA Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Edvard Hovhannisyan has assured, the aim of the proposal is to improve the VAT refund mechanism. In particular, it is proposed by the bill to do the refund of the reimbursable amounts of VAT with the results of every reporting month, to apply one unified approach (for monthly refund and 0 VAT rate), as well as to set monthly 40 mln AMD instead of quarterly set 40 mln AMD for the refund of amounts without study.

The members of the Committee were in favor of the draft law and presented the endorsement for including in the draft agenda of the sixth session of the seventh convocation of the National Assembly.
