The draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on State Duty was on the agenda of April 28 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

The RA Acting Minister of Economy Vahan Qerobyan has informed that the relevant article of the Tax Code is addended with a new part. The executive body proposes to set a fee duty 25.000 AMD for cement and 9.000 AMD for clinkers. It is expected that about 1.5 bln AMD will be entered into the state budget. Vahan Qerobyan has not accepted the arguments of the committees that the rates of the fee duties will have an opposite impact.

The NA deputy Tsovinar Vardanyan proposed to set 14.000 AMD state duty for cement and 0% for clinkers.

The Chair of the Standing Committee proposed to postpone the debate of the issue. Vahan Qerobyan did not agree.

As a result, the draft law was not endorsed.
