At May 5 sitting, the legislative body debated in the first reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Tax Code and on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Tax Code of December 21, 2017 on Amending the Law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the AL-266-Law on Making Addendum to the RA Law.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan has noted that the subject of the regulation is the deadlines for the use of tax privileges in the form of applying reduced rates of the profit tax and the income tax for the organizations being included in the group of organizations which carry out export programmes approved by the Government. In case of satisfying the preconditions, the group of that organizations is ambitious for making use from the reduced rates of the profit tax by the Tax Code. The partners of the European Union studied and considered this privilege disputable. According to the Deputy Minister, the RA Ministry of Economy negotiated with the partners of the EU by the request of the beneficiary organizations and as a result, an agreement was reached on extending the privilege period of time for 8 years - setting 31 December 2021, instead of 31 December 2029.

The Member of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Hayk Gevorgyan presented the endorsement of the committee to the parliament.
