On May 5, the Head of the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction Edmon Marukyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the RA John Gallagher.

Welcoming the guest, Edmon Marukyan congratulated him on being appointed in that responsible office and expressed hope that with his effective activities John Gallagher would promote the development of the parliamentary relations.

The interlocutors discussed the issues on further deepening the Armenian-British relations, touched upon the holding of the scheduled snap parliamentary elections.

During the meeting the issue of the return of the Armenian prisoners of war detained in Azerbaijan was touched upon. In this aspect Edmon Marukyan considered important the efforts of the government of Great Britain aimed at returning immediately the Armenian prisoners of war to the homeland.
