At May 26 NA sitting, the annual report on the activities of the Commission on Television and Radio of 2020 was debated.
In his final speech, the Chairman of the Commission on Television and Radio Tigran Hakobyan referred to the questions raised by the deputies and gave clarifications.
“We started to narrow down the concept of “hate speech,” using the definitions of 10-15 years ago, however its definitions were significantly expanded in the last years. If before it has been towards religious, national, racial groups then now it is for sowing hatred towards the people who have opposite views and other political viewpoints,” the Chairman of the Commission noted.
