At May 27 regular sitting, the National Assembly continued the debate of the annual report on the activities of the RA Central Bank.

In the framework of the exchange of thoughts, the Head of the NA My Step Faction Lilit Makunts referred to the event which took place today, noting: “Today, news was spread that Armenian servicemen were captured from the RA border. But as it happened from the RA border, we cannot name it captivity. That is kidnapping. And, it takes place in case when our international colleagues do not give decent evaluation and do not call a spade a spade. I call on all our colleagues to definitely and compulsorily express a clear assessment and position on Azerbaijan’s inadmissible actions. There is an expectation in our society that the CSTO should respond very operatively to the happening events. And it is the delay of those actions, perhaps, that leads to such developments and escalations. I think that in order to avoid further tensions and clashes, the security system of which Armenia is a part, the international colleagues who are concerned about such inadmissible actions and developments taking place in the South Caucasus against the sovereign state of the Republic of Armenia should make a clear assessment.”

“The Azeris enter the territory of the border protection of Gegharkunik marz and capture our soldiers. This is no more than disaster, this is inadmissible. This disaster should be stopped,” Naira Zohrabyan said.

The parliament passed the bills debated on the previous day by voting.

Covering the agenda, the Parliament ended the work of the regular sitting.
