On June 9, the regular sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Vladimir Vardanyan was held.

The draft law on Amendments and Addenda to the RA Criminal Code authored by the NA deputies Nikolay Baghdasaryan, Vahagn Hovakimyan, Viktor Yengibaryan was debated in the second reading.

The key rapporteur Nikolay Baghdasaryan noted that there were debates on the bill with the representatives of the Ministry of Justice. The draft law is aimed at having some certainties in the arrest provisions.

According to the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Armen Hovhannisyan, after the adoption of the draft law it had not undergone changes in the content.

The co-speaker, the NA deputy Sergey Atomyan, highlighting the presented draft law urged his colleagues to endorse it.

The Committee endorsed the bill.
