At June 9 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs the annual report on the activity of the RA Audit Chamber for 2020 was debated.

According to the Chairman of the RA Audit Chamber Levon Yolyan, the report briefly reflects the main procedure and the results of the activity implemented in the frameworks of the annual programme for 2020: “The financial year was hard for us because of pandemic, afterwards also because of war we have worked in the restricted conditions. In the created situation the Chamber made a decision to continue the and reach to an end in the upcoming months of 2021 a number of large-scale audits of public sounding and interest (State Revenue Committee, Pension Fund, the Ministries of Defense and Health).

According to the speaker, they succeeded to reach to an end the results of more than dozens of audits and present them.

In 2020, the framework of the audit of the structure included the spheres of labour and social security, water, police, hi-tech industry, environment, emergency situations, culture, road construction, community and other spheres.

The materials on the disclosed some violations were sent to the Prosecutor’s Office, there are sued cases. As the structure has assessed, the amount of the caused damage is 3.4bln AMD.
