At the extraordinary session convened on June 30, the draft law on Amending the Law on Management of Blocks of Flats authored by the deputies of the RA NA My Step Faction Artak Manukyan and Nikolay Baghdasaryan was debated in the first reading.

The authors propose to define the concept of modernization of blocks of flats and to revise the ratio of voices which are necessary for making decisions by the draft. The main directions of state and community activities in the field of management and maintenance of blocks of flats are also clarified, and it is established that the programmes in those directions can be implemented only in conditions of the owners’ compulsory participation.

In Artak Manukyan’s opinion, the co-author of the draft law, the adoption of the initiative will also promote to the increase of the predictability among investors.

The Chairman of Urban Development Committee Armen Ghularyan noticed that the initiative was revised based on the proposals presented by the Government.
