According to the tradition, since the period of Peter the Great, every day the afternoon is announced by the cannon volley from Naryshkin Bastion at 12. Within the framework of the visit to Saint Petersburg, the RA NA Speaker also visited Naryshkin Bastion of Peter and Paul Fortress (Petropavlovsk Fortress) and fired the traditional cannon volley dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the tragedy in the town of Tikhvin on October 14, 1941. More than 2000 children died at that time. The NA Speaker received the cannon shell as a souvenir.
