NA Extraordinary Session Convened at the Initiative of Government

On July 15, at the initiative of the Government an extraordinary session of the National Assembly by the initiator’s established agenda.

Before beginning the legislative work, the NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan proposed the deputies to honour in one-minute silence the memory of the serviceman, who died the day before, on July 14, because of the incident occurred on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

The Head of the parliament has informed that the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) presented the protocol N 20 on providing the mandate of the deputy Lusine Yeganyan elected NA deputy and prematurely suspended the authorities to the next candidate, according to which, the mandate to the regular next candidate of the first part of the national electoral list of My Step alliance of parties Ara Melikjanyan. In accordance with Article 33.4 of the Constitutional Law the NA Rules of Procedure, the deputy replenished the NA composition was sworn-in at the NA sitting.

Afterwards, as the RA Acting Minister Vahan Qerobyan presented, the draft law of the NA decision of the Special Procedure of the Debate of the RA NA Extraordinary Session Agenda Items was debated and passed. It proposes to organize the debate of a number of draft laws in the second reading after passing them in the first reading within 24 hours.
