On August 10, the first session of the RA NA eighth convocation continued the debate of the item of the election of the Chairs of the NA Standing Committees. According to the D’Hondt method, the Civil Contract Faction will nominate Chairs of 9 NA Committees and the Armenia Faction - 3.

The Head of the Civil Contract Faction Hayk Konjoryan presented the candidates for Chairs of the Committees nominated by their faction.

So, Eduard Aghajanyan was nominated as a candidate for the post of the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations. Gevorg Papoyan was nominated as a candidate for the post of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, Vahe Ghalumyan - for the post of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection, Sisak Gabrielyan - for the post of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport, Arman Yeghoyan - for the post of the Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration, Heriknaz Tigranyan - for the post of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs and Narek Zeynalyan – for the post of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Health Care.

The Head of the Armenia Faction Seyran Ohanyan presented the candidates for the Chairs of the Committees nominated by their faction.

Accordingly, Armen Gevorgyan was nominated as a candidate for the post of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration. The member of With Honor Faction Taguhi Tovmasyan was nominated as a candidate for the post of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs.
