On August 23, the President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan visited the Homeland Defender’s Rehabilitation Center.

Accompanied by the Chancellor of Yerevan State Medical University Armen Muradyan and the Director of the Center Haykuhi Minasyan, the NA President took a tour, getting acquainted with the activities of the Center.

The main desire of the participants of the wars of different years receiving rehabilitation treatment at the center was the full recovery.

Armen Muradyan noted that many of them who received treatment at the Center said farewell to the wheelchair due to their own will and the daily efforts of the medical staff, and many of the participants started to walk again.

The NA President was interested in the library designed for the soldiers which was also rich in professional literature. The NA President highlighted the works implemented by the Center, emphasizing that the word “rehabilitation” gained its meaning, teaching a new profession to those who want it in parallel with the treatment. Saying goodbye to the homeland defenders, the NA President promised to visit again after some time to see the successes achieved during that period.
