At September 13 sitting, moderated by Andranik Kocharyan, the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security debated the issue of electing Deputy Chair of the Committee.

It should be reminded that the issue was already debated in the Committee twice, however, as a result of debate, the candidate nominated by the Armenia Faction Artur Ghazinyan was not elected. This time the Armenia Faction again nominated him as a candidate.

The MPs were interested in some biographical data of the nominated candidate. It was referred to the situation created on Kapan-Goris road. The Committee Chair Andranik Kocharyan has informed that the format of the issue debate on the border situation will be specified in the near future.

As a result of voting, the Committee did not elect the Deputy Chair again.

According to the D’Hondt method, the opposition faction is given 5 days for nominating a new candidate.
