Allocations of Council of Public Television and Radio Company Envisaged by Draft Budget for 2022 Presented

At November 8 joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, the sectoral revenues and expenditures envisaged by the RA Law on the RA State Budget for 2022 were debated.

The RA Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan presented the financial indices of four departments.

In 2022, about 336mln 900 thousand drams were envisaged by the draft budget for the Commission on TV and Radio.

Total expenditure of the Council of Public Television and Radio Company envisaged by the draft budget to implement 1 programme and 5 events is 7bln 634mln AMD.

579mln drams were allocated to the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Prime Minster’s Staff to implement 2 programmes and 9 events.

In 2021, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports will implement 21 programmes with 176 events. The total expenditure will be about 226bln AMD which is 48bln 694mln AMD more than the approved budget of 2021.

The Chairman of the Commission on TV and Radio Tigran Hakobyan, presenting the functions of the structure, underlined that the Commission is independent state body, and it guarantees the freedom, independence and diversity of a broadcaster.

Presenting the programmes of the next year in detail, he has noted that they will try to solve many problems with money envisaged by the draft budget.
