Aleksey Sandikov Calls on CSTO and International Community
1 / 1

Dear colleagues, dear citizens of the Republic of Armenia,

I would like to give a speech in Russian as a parliamentarian representing Russians living in Armenia, as well as a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). At this moment, the Azerbaijani armed forces use artillery and actively shell the border positions of Syunik Region of Armenia – the member state of the CSTO.

I remind you that the main purpose of the Collective Security Treaty Organization is to strengthen peace, international and regional security and stability, to defend independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the member states on a collective basis, the priority of which the member states give to political means.

The game of the Azerbaijani authorities is the continuation of the actions which left unpunished throughout the period after the signing of the trilateral agreement and especially on the agenda, after the clear position of the Armenian and Russian sides at the absence of the so-called Zangezur corridor.

We want to emphasize the resoluteness of the authorities of the Republic of Armenia and the people to defend the sovereignty, territorial integration and independence of their homeland.
