On November 19, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration Armen Gevorgyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia Fan Yong.

Welcoming the Ambassador, Armen Gevorgyan evaluated effective and perspective the cooperation with friendly China, underlined the necessity of having stable and peaceful region. In this context he touched upon another aggression carried out by the sub-units of the Azerbaijani armed forces on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on November 16, considering inadmissible the solution of the problems through military means. The Ambassador in his turn highlighted the settlement of the problems in the region through peaceful means.

The interlocutors affirmed with satisfaction that in 2022, the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Armenia and China would turn, and during the past years the Armenian-Chinese relations had been friendly, developing and effective. However, according to them, there is still unused potential in different spheres.

Issues regarding the bilateral relations and their expansion, the perspectives of the development of inter-parliamentary and economic ties, the de-blockading of the regional communications, the opportunity of making investments in Armenia and the cooperation within the framework of the EAEU. Ideas were exchanged on the fight against coronavirus pandemic, as well as on other issues of common interest.

Both sides emphasized the further cooperation.
